Visit to Spain

Hi

I am currently teaching in 6 primary schools in Birmingham. I loosely follow the QCA Scheme of Work and add my own materials. I am going to Spain next Sunday and will visit a school near Barcelona to set up a link. I am looking for a further 2 Spanish schools to set up links so half of my schools will have a direct link to Spain and hopefully visit one day.

Barcelona was born in Reus and spnt many years in Barcelona building La Casa Batllo, La Casa Mila i la Sagrada Familia. The queues to get in to visit are very long but they are well worth a visit inside. The one in this picture ihas a most intricate structure. If you visit make sure to listen to the free taped explanation. Casahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casa_Batll%C3%B3

My home town Barcelona, a magnificent city with medieval quarters and a well designed city centre well worth seeing. Some fantastic original arquitecture from Gaudi which is extremely worth seeing. An excellent night life, art galleries, sea side, mountains and nice people.

King's Night Epiphany

In Spain we celebrate the day when the 3 wise men went to visit Jesus with a big parade on 5th January followed by presents delivered to the children overnight. King's Day (6th January) is a magic day for children of all ages.
